It’s another blog party!

I know it seems like I’m never around any more. I’m trying to adjust to a new job. I like the job, hate the commute. It eats up 2 quality hours of each and every day. If the job pans out (right now I’m a temporary contractor), I’ll have to consider moving closer. But for now, I’m staying right where I am.

The SAS-y ladies have cooked up a whole batch of Valentine’s goodies to show just how much we love you. I think I’m supposed to be posting this tomorrow, but since I leave first thing in the morning and don’t get home until after 6, I thought I’d better do it now. Here’s the preview to Candy Hearts & Paper Flowers.

And here’s the link to get it:

Here are the rest of the SAS-y blogs to visit for goodies. Please remember that I’m posting this early, so if they don’t have theirs up, it’ll be up soon.

Just a quick post to show you what I finished working on tonight. It’s a participation bonus for the Heritage Challenge at SAS. All of our challenge bonuses coordinate around a theme. This month’s theme is Penguins in Love. If you partipate in the Heritage Challenge hosted by JanW., you can get my piece free. Cool deal, huh?

I’d love for you to get this freebie. Here’s the link to the challenge at SAS:

Just to address a few comments….

I was just reviewing the comments left on our blog to our last post, regarding our holiday gift to our subscribed readers, and there were a few I wanted to respond back to.

To Texasblu, Susie, and everyone else who left thanks either on the blog, or with their store order, you’re so welcome. I’m glad we were able to help put a smile on your face.  We’d LOVE to see what you make with our kits, so please upload them to our gallery at SAS when you get a chance to use them.  I’m always so surprised at the versatility, creativity and beautiful artistic talent shown when other people use our products.  It gives me such a thrill to see it.

Dana, I’m so sorry, but subscribing through Google Reader doesn’t help get our subscriber only goodies, and here’s the reason why.  By subscribing to our blog, I can send out subscriber only emails through Feedblitz. That’s how I sent subscribers the free sampler from our Sarah’s Baby Shower kit, and now the free coupon.  While I’d love to include Google Readers, there’s no way for me to contact them, short of posting the information on the blog for all to see.  While we offer plenty of freebies for one and all, we wanted to do something a little extra special for people who liked us enough to subscribe. And while Google Reader is a subscription, it’s unfortunately not one that I can use to communicate with you.

So please, if you haven’t already, take the time to subscribe to our blog through the Feedblitz link on the left and make sure you don’t miss out on any other special treats we might send your way.  I can’t promise they’ll always be free kits for one and all, but I’ll do my best to make sure we give you some great surprises now and then.

A Belated Holiday Treat & New Products in the Store

You now what do they say about the best laid plans oft going astray? Well I’d intended to send a gift out our blog subscribers weeks ago, but I only just got a chance to do it. The good news for our subscribers was that about 20 new subscribers joined after I initially planned our goodie, so those people are benefiting from my time crisis.  So what did we give our loyal readers?  Everyone was sent a $5 coupon good for anything in our store at SAS.  That’s enough to buy at least one kit, possibly more.  Happy holidays from me and Diane!

In a bit of new year’s cleaning, I’ve removed the links to three of our recent blog party kits.  Most of the participants in the parties had already removed theirs, but I wanted to make sure everyone had enough time to get ours.  If you didn’t they’ve been added to the bargain bin at SAS. Each of these kits is available for only $1.50.  (Our blog subscribers could get all three free, if they didn’t have them already, lol!)

I just found out that the link to Brenda Mascari’s blog had been truncated in the list we were given.  If you were trying to get to Brenda’s blog to collect the goodie, here’s the right link:

It’s also fixed in yesterday’s post for those who are just joining our party.

Are You Ready for Some Caroling?
December 14, 2008, 1:08 am

The wonderful ladies at SAS have been working on a great blog party for you. Get ready for the second annual Stone Accents Studio Holiday Caroling party. You’ll visit each SAS-y Lady to pick up some great carol inspired goodies at each.

Since Diane and I haven’t experienced a white Christmas in about 20 years, we chose Mele Kalikimaka for our carol. It’s Hawaii’s way to say Merry Christmas to you. The colors are just a shade lighter than those used in our ‘Tis the Season kit, so if you haven’t already snagged it, scroll down one post and get that one too for a much larger, coordinated kit.

Starting today, and running through January 1st, we’ve decided to have a holiday sale, with all our products 50% off. The economy stinks, and we’re sure you can use a break just as much as we can, so we’ve decided to spread more holiday cheer in the form of some great bargains. You can see all our designs, exclusively at SAS.
Visit Our Store

And now onto the good stuff. Here’s the preview of Mele Kalikimaka:

And here’s the link. It’s a direct download links, since I subscribed to upgrade our 4Shared Account.  (Update:  Apparently that 4Shared Upgrade isn’t worth much.  Our bandwidth is almost exceeded again.  I’ve setup an alternate download link on Media Fire for you.  If the first one doesn’t work, the second one will.)

Sorry, this goodie is no longer available.

We have a fantastic blog reader, Terry, who never fails to leave thanks and an aloha when she downloads our goodies. So taking a page from Terry’s book, thanks for sticking with us this year, especially those who have taken the time to leave us comments and feedback. We love to hear from you. Happy Holidays and Aloha!

P.S. Subscribed blog readers, we’ve got something special coming your way, hopefully in the next few days. If you’re not subscribed, there’s still time to do so.

Oh, silly me, I nearly forgot. Here are the other blogs you need to visit for your caroling goodies:

A holiday treat for you
November 30, 2008, 4:24 pm

I’m doing this blog post a day early because I have to work this afternoon until closing, and then I have court ordered mediation for my divorce tomorrow and I don’t want to be late.

Diane and I are participating in two blog parties this holiday. This first one is one organized by Digital Arts Cafe, and contains designers from all over the digital community.  I’m very grateful to them for organizing it and including us in on the fun.  We’ve got a nice kit for you called ‘Tis the Season, and I’ll have the preview and links for you in just a second. I  want to tell you, and hopefully get to excited about, our second blog party. This one is with the SAS-y Ladies at Stone Accents. Last year we held our first Holiday Caroling Blog party where each designer signed up for a holiday carol and created a kit around it.  We’re joining in this year, and creating a kit for Mele Kalikimaka.  Diane has created the most adorable elements for this kit!  I’m sure you’re going to love them.  I believe that blog party is going to start around the 18th. So why mention it now, you might ask?  Because Mele Kalikimaka and ‘Tis the Season were both created with complimentary color palettes. By collecting both kits, you’ll get a much bigger kit that’s designed to work well together.  One way you can be sure not to miss Mele Kalikimaka is to sign up using the Subscribe Now link on the left.  As readers who were subscribed at the time of our last blog post will tell you, we reward our readers with exclusive subscriber only gifts.

Okay, here’s the preview:

And here’s the link. I have the file stored on Media Fire right now, since a few newsletters ago, I stored it on my shared account and it used all my bandwidth in one newsletter. Next month, I’ll be able to go back to using 4Shared.

Sorry, this goodie is no longer available.

And don’t forget to check out the rest of the blogs in the blog party starting tomorrow, December 1st.

Loyalty Has It’s Privileges
November 19, 2008, 10:30 pm

Remember how, a post or so ago, I mentioned that we’d be giving out special goodies for our blog subscribers?  Well I’ve got our first one for you.  Anyone who’s subscribed to our blog through the Feed Blitz link on the side will be receiving an email that contains a 20 piece sampler from our newest kit, Sarah’s Baby Shower.  The kit itself isn’t finished because it’s a work in progress.  We’re hosting a baby shower for our friend this weekend, and I’m making a brag book with her shower pictures to commemorate the party.  So there’s a good possibility that we’ll be adding more before it’s finished. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this piece of the kit.

For those who didn’t sign up yet, we’ve got this Sarah’s Baby Shower Brag Book Set.  As I create pages for the shower, I’m sure I’ll be sharing them with you, so look for more coming soon. And don’t forget to sign up. You never know what I’ll be sending out to our loyal blog readers next!

And here’s the link to get it:

Are you ready for some football? (baseball, soccer & basketball too?)
November 10, 2008, 10:20 pm

I just loaded our newest kit, All Star Sports to the store today.  I’ve got a set of brag book pages for you, our readers representing just four of the sports featured in this kit.  Altogether, we’ve got papers and elements for American football, badminton, baseball, basketball, cricket, hocky, rugby, soccer, tennis and volleyball.  All of our products are still 50% off in our Home Run Sale, so you can get all 30 papers, 39 elements and felt alpha for just $1.75!!  While you’re there, be sure to check out all the other products we have on sale.  Our contract with SAS doesn’t allow for sales less than 50%, so this is as low as our prices will go!

Before I get to the freebie, I want to direct your attention to the new Subscribe to Our Blog section over there on the left. You can click on subscribe now to sign up to get an email whenever we update our blog with freebies and sales. Why would you want one more thing in your inbox?  Well, for one thing we seldom post unless it’s to give you a freebie.  For another, I’m planning to reward our loyal readers with subscriber only goodies from time to time. Our first one will be given out in a few weeks, so you’ll want to subscribe before we send it out.

Now let’s get to your freebie.  Here’s a preview of the entire kit:

3 Day Sale — Save BIG!
October 31, 2008, 8:41 am

Hey, I just wanted to remind everyone that our three day sale started today and runs through Sunday.  I just visited the store to make sure the sale went into affect right and even I can’t believe what we’re letting these kits go for. In this economy, you’ve got to make your scrapping dollar stretch, and this sale will let you do that!  Everything is included, even commercial use. The only things not on sale are the bargain bin and anything previously marked down.  Here’s a list of our kits and the sale prices.  If any of these are on your wish list, now’s the time to get it!   You won’t see sales lower than this, our contract doesn’t allow it!

First Haircut — $1.25
All Star Movies – $2.13
Backyard Bayou — $2.25
Backyard Bayou Tomboy Add-On — $1.00
For the Birds Mega Kit — $1.63
Guido Mega Kit — $2.00
Happy Haunts — $1.63
Hug a Bug — $1.75
Kitten Kaboodle – $1.63
Pool Party Mega Kit — $1.88
Puppy Love — $2.25
Teacher’s Pet Mega Kit — $2.50

Heck, these prices are so low, you can buy our whole store for just $21.90!!  I’ll tell you what I’ll do.  If you do buy our whole store in one order (I’ll see it because I do the reports), I’ll give you our brand new kit, All Star Sports, FREE.  It’s due to go into the store this weekend, as soon as I add a few more items I’ve been dreaming up.  So if you buy our entire store, I’ll email you a coupon code to get this one free.  If you already have some of our products, so you don’t need everything, email me at mom2bedc@comcast.net with the email you used to make your previous purchases.  Once I verify that you paid for those other kits, I’ll send you the coupon too.  Cool?  That’s 13 kits (12 already in the store plus All Star Sports) for under $22, less than $2 a kit!  And a peek through our store will show that our kits are larger than your average kit.  I like big kits, because when I scrap I like to have a lot of choices in my papers and elements, and I hate using the same thing twice, so we create what I like to work with and throw in everything but the kitchen sink, lol.  I WANT to save you money.  In these tough times, we have to help each other out.  So go have a good time!
