For the Birds Freebie

Those of you who are waiting for our puppy kit, we’re still working on it. In the meantime, here’s our latest kit, For the Birds.  It was created for the June Color Challenge at Stone Accents Studio.  You can collect lots of freebies that members have done for the challenge on the forum. All participation kits and layouts are also featured in our newsletter. Speaking of the newsletter, this week’s newsletter has five freebies inside it, including some really sweet mini-kits from Ellen and Cathy, part 3 of Candee’s Wee Ones kit, and a surprise freebie from Stella. I haven’t even unzipped it yet, so I have no idea what’s in there.  Want to know where you can get all these goodies?  Here’s the link to the newsletter:  http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/newsletter/2008-06-25/

And now onto your freebie:  For the Birds. This kit is huge!  Not everything in the kit is shown in the previews. Altogether you’ll get 16 papers, 7 birds, 1 border, 10 flowers, 5 frames, 2 leaves, 1 sun, and 2 trees.

Happy scrapping.

Here’s the add-on

Sorry it took us so long. This was actually finished on Saturday, and then I started playing with an alpha.  I still haven’t gotten it right, so I’m going to give you this for now and if I ever do finish the alpha, I’ll pass it on to you.

I’m going to keep this short as I’m trying to finish up the SAS newsletter that will be going out tomorrow. There are so many new products, sales, and yes, freebies, that I’m having problems figuring out where to put them all. If you check back tomorrow, I’ll post the link to the newsletter so you can collect all those goodies too.  We just wanted to show you this sweet layout by Simone. She emailed it to us to show what she did with our kit, and we just fell in love with her three kitties.

Here’s the preview to the add-on. You’ll get two more papers, a quick page, and 4 elements, including the catnip mice that I forgot to include the first time around.

And here’s your link. If you download, we’d love to hear back from you.  Everyone likes to know their work is appreciated, but since we’re so new to this, we need your love and encouragement to keep us going.  Thanks.

Sorry, this link has expired.

Oh, and if you’re new to our Kitten Kaboodle kit, you can find the elements one post below this, and the papers below that.  Happy scrapping!

Kitten Kaboodle Elements

We finally finished Kitten Kaboodle… I thought. I’ve made the preview; I’ve uploaded the zip files. And when my sister looked at the preview, she pointed out things I forgot to include. Oops. So for now, because it’s late and I’m tired, we’re giving you the links for the elements as I’ve packaged them. In a few days, we’ll likely have an add-on and another quick page for you.

For those of you who have mentioned doggie kits, we’ve got something in the works already. Diane is so full of ideas she’s working on several kits at the same time.

While I’ve got your attention, and before I give you the links to the Kitten Kaboodle elements, I want to show you another HUGE freebie you can collect. All the challenge kits at SAS match, and I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say no other scrapping site gives away a kit this large. If you were to complete all our challenges, the kit you’d collect would be larger even than our monthly mega kit, and it’s absolutely FREE. Here are just SOME of the previews from this month’s free kit, Flip Flop Summer:

You can find a quick list of all the challenges and the coordinating bonus here.

And now onto your freebie. Here’s the preview:

Kitten Kaboodle Freebie

I’ve created a monster. My sister, Diane, keeps creating more elements for our Kitten Kaboodle kit.  You can blame her for the fact that I don’t have the elements ready for you, lol. I’ll have them tomorrow for sure. I just need to package them up and make a preview. In them meantime, we have the papers for you.

Now, before I get to your freebie, I have a few things from SAS to show you.  First, here’s the link to the latest newsletter. This issue contains 4 freebies you can’t get anywhere else, as well as links to a whole lot more. There’s a special treat on one of the color challenge pages.  One of our designers loved the challenge palette so much, she just had to participate too. You can get her contribution as well as contributions from other challenge participants free.

I love all our designers at SAS. Sometimes one of them will make me want to bang my head on the desk in frustration, but I really do love them all. One who never makes me want to pull my hair out is Beckie Wallace, and I’m sad to say that Beckie is leaving us in a few more days.  Beckie is expecting her third baby next month, and so she felt, understandably, that she wouldn’t be able to devote as much time to designing.  Her contract with SAS was expiring, so it seemed like the perfect time to take a break.  I’ll miss Beckie a lot.  I can certainly relate to why she needs some time off, but I’ll miss her while she’s gone.  And in the meantime, you can save big on all her designs. She’s having a Farewell to SAS sale.

Now on to what you’re really here for.  Here’s a preview of the Kitten Kaboodle papers. There are 12 in all, 4 solids and 8 patterns, all lightly textured.

Sorry, this link has expired.

Check back tomorrow for the matching elements … if I can get my sister to stop creating more.

I come bearing gifts

It’s been forever since I blogged, and even longer since I promised you a template. So long, that I can’t even remember what template I planned to give you. lol. So much has happened in my personal life since I last blogged, that I wouldn’t know where to start, and I really don’t want to dwell on it right now anyway.

So, on to the good news.  My sister and I have been fiddling around with the idea of designing, and you get to benefit from our experiment.  I need to get the SAS newsletter finished for this week, so this is just a little sample to whet your whistle.  We’re completing a full kit featuring some drawings by my sister and papers and other elements that I’ve been doing.  I’ll be back on Wednesday or Thursday with the actual kit. I just have a few loose ends that need to be tied up and it’ll be ready.

Here’s a quick page made from our first kit, Kitten Kaboodle.

Here’s the download link. If you download it, please give us some love and encouragement so we’ll know our work is appreciated.

Oh, and I’d like to thank the following designers for their commercial use products that were used here. I’ve used more in the full kit, but for this quick page, I think I’ve just got an overlay by wonderful SAS-y Lady Darlene Haughin, and a few things I picked up in Kim Brodelet’s commercial use grab bag.  Oh and the tag is by another SAS-y Lady, Kymm (aka Creative Chaos).  You can find everything (except Kim’s grab bag) in the commercial use section of Stone Accents Studio.
