The Scrappy Times

I scrapped!  It’s been 3 months, at least, since I had time to scrap a layout.  This is of my girls on Fairy Princess Day at cheer camp.  Each week had a different theme and one day a week they had to dress to match.  The kit is Midnight Silhouette by Cathy Cher and the template is from Digitreats Girl Templates, both available at SAS.

There’s one more day to get For the Birds, our gigantic mega kit created for the June color challenge at SAS.  On August 1st, Eastern time, these birds will have flown the coop.

I’ll even save you the trouble of hunting down the link and give it to you here.  Although, you may want to hunt down the link anyway so you can grab our Hug a Bug brag books and kit and the Guido brag books and kit.  And stay tuned because Diane has finished her part of THREE new kits that just need me to get to my part so they’ll be finished, including the much requested Puppy Love kit.

Happy Scrapping!

Here’s a little something for you. It’s part of our Guido kit.   If you didn’t get the matching brag book pages, scroll down a few posts to pick up both packs of four (there eight total).

Diane has been working on our puppy kit.  For those who have been following our blog and wondering what’s taking us so long, we’ve been having trouble with one particular graphic we want to include. I suggested we just leave it out, but as Diane rightly said, it’s the basis for our whole color palette.  So we’re plugging along at that.

Have you ever noticed that there are a lot of beach kits out there, but very few are made for just swimming in the pool?  Well we’ve got one for you. Diane’s finished with her part, so now I need to get working on mine, which are the brag book pages and all the little papers and elements that are needed to make the kit complete.  We should have a little something from that kit ready to give to you later this week.

Don’t forget to pick up For the Birds before Friday, when we’ll be disabling the links.  It’s a huge mega kit and it’s yours for free.

Here are the other four Guido Brag Book pages that I was working on. I would have uploaded them yesterday, but we lost internet and phone last night.  It turns out that while I was picking up my mom and sister from the airport, my youngest was spinning around in the computer chair and managed to disconnect the phone wire. My sister was able to figure it out this afternoon and now everything is about as normal as it gets around here.  lol

Tomorrow is a busy day for me. I’m taking my sister to the doctor in the morning, after I bring the girls to cheer camp, and then I have to write the newsletter. BUT, once that’s finished, I’ll be back with a link to the newsletter (just wait until you see the new mega kit!), and another Hug a Bug freebie.

Hug a Bug is ready to be zipped up and uploaded to 4Shared, but we thought we’d take a break from all those cute critters and introduce you to some new characters we’ve been working on.  Meet Guido and Guissepe, two Italian chefs that are close to our hearts.  The funny thing is that Guido, named after our grandfather, really looks like our cousin, Vinny.  Yep we really have one.  As with the Hug a Bug Brag Book pages, I have four more sketched out, but it’s getting late and my girls have their big cheer performance tomorrow, so I need to get to bed.  Check back in a few days, not only for the other four Guido brag book pages and kit, but also the Hug a Bug kit.

My sister asked me yesterday if we needed anything else for Hug-a-Bug, our newest kit, designed for Boo’s July color challenge over at SAS.  I said I wasn’t sure, but why didn’t I create some brag book pages and see if I felt I was missing anything.  Well, long story short, there were a few things I thought I’d like to have, so we’ve been working on filling in the gaps.  Well, actually, I’ve been working on filling in the gaps, because my sister has already moved on and is working on our challenge for KimB’s color challenge over at DSO.  (We’ll have more on that for you later.)    I felt bad that we didn’t have the kit ready for you, since it was my intention to get it uploaded tonight, so we’re giving you the four brag book pages I created today. I’m planning 2-4 more of those too.
